Minnis is loyal to no one - unless, of course, you’re brown nosing like Renward Wells.
He deludes himself into thinking people can see or know his heart but only God can see the heart. People pay attention to actions. The actions speak volumes. A lost and very petty dictator who can’t take criticism, doesn’t know how to speak to the press or for that matter how to speak at all and ready to knife anyone in the back that he perceives is a threat.
I have a hard time feeling sorry for him. I feel sorry for his staff. All that money borrowed and never paid back and ready to go back to try get some more. He’s a seasoned politician alright.
Mark my words, he will probably extend the emergency order and lock us down for Christmas. This man is incompetent as a Prime Minister so is getting his rocks off with being the supreme decision maker and the so-called ‘Competent Authority’ two words that Bahamians have come to despise.
By the way, how much longer before the supreme one allows the gyms to open? These businesses are on life support while he’s walking on the beach exercising with his ‘entourage’.
I do agree that Minnis’s one man stance is crippling the economy. Making decisions to have businesses sell bra, panties and shoes on the curb is not only humiliating but stupid when so many of them are paying for brick and mortar and enough space to comfortably allow their customers to social distance inside their stores. How did we get here? I agree with the Bishop that it’s no longer ‘cute’. No one is saying just go ahead and open the economy and let people move around Willy nilly, but we definitely cannot continue like this. The up and down is killing us economically.
If COVID is being spread by going into a retail store then Super Value, Solomon’s and the other food-stores must be the biggest spreaders because they also sell medicines, shoes and clothing and scores of people go in and out all day so what’s the difference? In many cases the protocols are no even followed.
Either the competent authority is determined to make one set of retailers rich or they just don’t know what they are doing. I think people would find it easier to be able to spread out and go to different stores for their needs versus piling up at the food store which is being forced to become a one stop shop for everything. Have you seen the crowds at the food stores? Again if covid is spreading not allowing the other retailers to open their doors with a minimum number of customers (which most were doing anyway) is not helping.
Selling clothing curbside is the dumbest idea. Who came up with it? Oh I forgot- the incompetent authority!
I for one need to see and try on my clothing. How do I know if it fits! Do I try it on on the curbside? What colours do they have? Does the sales associate have to walk out the front door with 5 to 10 pieces of clothing in their hand so that I can look and decide? What if that’s not what I want? How many trips does she have to make inside until I decide? I’m sure you get the picture!
People are actually paying for brick and mortar to deal with dumbness!!
Cheaper they just cancel it because the lockdown king will probably be in action. Remember Junkanoo falls on a holiday and this is when the lockdown king exerts his powers.
The fact that he’s agreeing with this shouldn’t surprise anyone bearing in mind he’s brown nosed his way into the position. If Minnis said jumping off a cliff would make the numbers go down, he’d be first in line. They are killing the economy and putting people out of business. Don’t worry by the time we get the numbers down there won’t be anything left to tax!
