If COVID is being spread by going into a retail store then Super Value, Solomon’s and the other food-stores must be the biggest spreaders because they also sell medicines, shoes and clothing and scores of people go in and out all day so what’s the difference? In many cases the protocols are no even followed.

Either the competent authority is determined to make one set of retailers rich or they just don’t know what they are doing. I think people would find it easier to be able to spread out and go to different stores for their needs versus piling up at the food store which is being forced to become a one stop shop for everything. Have you seen the crowds at the food stores? Again if covid is spreading not allowing the other retailers to open their doors with a minimum number of customers (which most were doing anyway) is not helping.

Selling clothing curbside is the dumbest idea. Who came up with it? Oh I forgot- the incompetent authority!

I for one need to see and try on my clothing. How do I know if it fits! Do I try it on on the curbside? What colours do they have? Does the sales associate have to walk out the front door with 5 to 10 pieces of clothing in their hand so that I can look and decide? What if that’s not what I want? How many trips does she have to make inside until I decide? I’m sure you get the picture!

People are actually paying for brick and mortar to deal with dumbness!!

Cheaper they just cancel it because the lockdown king will probably be in action. Remember Junkanoo falls on a holiday and this is when the lockdown king exerts his powers.

The fact that he’s agreeing with this shouldn’t surprise anyone bearing in mind he’s brown nosed his way into the position. If Minnis said jumping off a cliff would make the numbers go down, he’d be first in line. They are killing the economy and putting people out of business. Don’t worry by the time we get the numbers down there won’t be anything left to tax!

This is heartless. Not one covid case has been reported from any gym yet I know people who suspect they have it and still go to the food store. I’m realizing that this Government is not about preserving small businesses and the economy. They are all about destroying them.

That’s karma for teifin’ millions - under guise of borrowing - all that money to from BOB to build it and not paying a cent of It back. ‘Tiefers’ never prosper.

So what happened to all the security in Abaco. After Dorian weren’t the shanty properties cleared and checks and balances out in place to stop this from happening again? At one point even the residents could not return to Abaco (even by mailboat) unless they had a legitimate reason for being there. Has the Government dropped the ball again and are now allowing illegals to enter the island unchecked and unabated? Of note Bakers Bay is now up and running and selling properties and constructing again so clearly this saga has begun again as someone is feeding this monster by hiring them.

I think that Dr. Minnis has pride issues. Clearly he doesn’t trust anyone if his own cabinet members have no clue what he’s going to do next. Frankly it’s embarrassing. We have a stubborn leader who has surrounded himself with people who only feed his ego and are incapable of telling him that he’s an emperor with no clothes. He needs to drop his pride, diversify his ‘advisors’ and get this country back on track to beating this virus or he will be the first PM in Bahamian history that’s ousted without a general election. Frankly the Bahamian people are tired!!!

Went to Lowe’s to pick up a hygiene product. The product comes in several sizes and various prices. I was informed that they are only doing curbside service. Since they do not have a website where I can view and order the product I asked how I was supposed to buy a product that I had not seen. I had to stand there and take a wild guess as to which one I wanted and wait for an employee to run inside and bring it out to me. It wasn’t what I wanted so the employee had to go back inside again and bring another product. I as the paying customer did not have the luxury of actually going into the store to choose the product myself. After returning, out of sheer frustration I settled for it and then Had to hand the employee the funds and wait for them to run back inside and pay the cashier and get my change. So a simple 10 minute trip turned into 20. If this is what retailers have to resort to to get their products sold then we are in big trouble as a country. Mind you I could easily have dispensed with the inconvenience and go to any food store and pay more without the hassle.

We have to rethink these orders and stop curry favoring who we allow to open and close. The same virus that the curbside retailer is avoiding can be found in the food store that’s being allowed to open down the street.

And the saga continues.... more losses than gains with these last minute lockdowns and business closures. Do you still think the competent fool is trying to save lives??? I think he’s out to destroy them.
