The good thing is that these new gang related killings will not affect the crime stats as under the new reporting system this type of crime is listed under a different catogery.
I totaly agree, she was a great leader who tamed the Unions and understood econmics, therfor she would understand that in this tough economy that we are in that we send an offical message of condolences and not spend the money sending a dealgation to a service and put them up in a 5 star hotel and fly bussnes class on British Airways.
Afterall, we have issues here and this one trip would probably pay for 1/2 the runway lights in Mayaguana.
And I bet you that if they do start to build it will never go out to tender, the same old PLP don't finish the job contractors will get the job and the cookie jar will get raided again and again...
It is plain to see that the comish was told 'go get Moncur and lock him up for a few hours'. Then when Moncur was relieased with no charges the same (probably PLP MP) said 'go lock him up and press charges'.
Those dry-docks floated in and can float back out. In fact there is a plan on file to put everything in the buildings in trailers and on the docks and tow them down to the DR where labour is cheaper, more skilled and loyal. And the DR would welcome with open arms.
Also, the cost of electricty is less then half down there and they have a big container port and mairtime sector.
