I sure hope this has a positive resolution, one way or the other. However this thing of upset families issuing personal travel advisories is annoying, coming from Chicago at that.

Great point. personally I think Legislatures should come up with laws that demand that or banks to get licenses all support staff should be local.

Why why why. Cheap labor? Is that the only criteria? Favorable exchange rate, maybe but cheap? I dont know about that. Don't let us go there.

How this person is president of a Union is beyond me. Dont pick a fight with Barbados, or Jamaica. It is a Canadian bank. Pick your fight with Montreal or Toronto.
Also unless its a local piggy bank, don't you know s soon as you join a bank with international reach, a lot of your information is available to all and Sundry?

Its unfortunate but all these types are being migrated to locales with "beneficial" exchange rates. These execs don't care how efficient you are, or how well you work. It just the times.

I am Jamaican and when I call about an American based account I personally dont like hearing any Jamaican, Filipino or Indian on the phone, for different reasons. But its the way it is.

I am not a fan of bad bos or rude boys, or "rapaH" bull. However If the Police are going to be Judge Juror and Executioner for crying out loud,
Dont do it in day time.
Don't do it around people
Most importantly, the perp must be found with an unlicensed firearm or else......

Regardless of how anyone feels about the evidence or potential outcome. Is there any basis in law for the judges ruling?

Brah, what does Jamaica have to do with this? Anyway since you started let me finish it for you.
Nothing is going to change.

• Those who smoke will continue to smoke
• Those who don’t smoke wont smoke
• Those who have traditionally trafficked wont even know the process to get a license much less get one
(Involves validating strain etc)
• The people who get licenses will be those who traditionally have be “throwing people in jail for the thing”
• The guys who have been trafficking as I said wont get licenses and will continue to get arrested
• Its really a con game for rich connected people to make more money and the threshold to be able to become a trader will be very high(No pun intended)

Trial by judge increases corruption and its implementation in Jamaica has been an unmitigated disaster. I don't care how smart one guy claims to be he can never be smarter then 7 or 12 people combined.

In trial by judge the judges seem to be in competition with prosecutors and tend to want to punish them for every perceived error, things that jurors can see through.
In 3 Major gang trials our so called CJ has let go man gangsters. Since then at least 20 have been eaten up by the streets and the Police.

Trial by Judge is a win for criminals

Always blaming foreigners. Didn't your family arrive in these shores the same way these alleged "foreigner" arrive today?

I am not being rude, but these laws were not designed to block you, its an inadvertent result by silly men, veggie watchers who don't want your women to marry men from any other land.

Say what you want to say about my country, but once one gains citizenship, they retain all rights and privileges. I went to school with many guys from all over some even from the Bahamas, and once a person was a Jamaican no one care if they came with Columbus in 1492 or Pirate Morgan in the 17th century

On US: Bahamas not equal for women
