It may well be so, but you have no stats to back it up. Either way its bad and you need to deal with the problem on your shores. I am absolutely sure that if a Jamaican were to abuse a woman in your country, I would hope the courts would deal with it.
To the person below, one sample does not statistics make. If you know the facts then you should get involved and have the law deal with it. Jamaicans are not saints, but I hate to break it to you. You need to know that if every Haitian and Jamaican and their descendants going back 100 years were to leave your place, you will find out there will still be endemic social issues to deal with. In other words, find real solutions, not scapegoats.
It is indeed a strange place, where people can argue against a child of a citizen gaining citizenship. Is Does Bahamian citizenship grant one access to heaven? This is prejudice, bigotry and paranoia amplified. How can you have children of citizens being "out of status"? Is it that Bahamian men want to control their women by denying certain rights? Shameful and trifling. Won't a bunch of mot status people lead to unemployability, crime, ghettoes, shanties etc? You all just need to ship all foreigners out by Dec 31. Even those with skills that are needed in the archipelago.
Sir I will show you they respect you do not give me. People migrate and won't stop. You can't stop it, neither can I. Every country citizens promote their country overseas, nothing wrong with that. You guys are too obsessed with immigration matters. Live your life and enjoy your family, don't spew so much hate you will be happy with it. As for strife, I won't be a part of that, I have nothing against the Bahamas, just don't ever intend to visit.
Does it matter? Just be Bahamian proud and stop study the Haitians, its a useless obsession, relax. Never been to your wonderful country and have no interest.

Mr Bishop, baby Jesus sought refuge in Egypt thru his earthly Father, Joseph. The same Egypt, the children of Israel escaped from through the Red Sea.

If one has a strong national identity, outsiders cannot come in and disrupt the apple cart. Just saying. Just close the borders.
