Your point is well taken. Both countries are horrible when it comes to human rights. Just horrible. We should not buy oil from either one, but right now Russia is actively killing thousands and thousands of Ukrainians in their sovereign country. I know there is no scale for energy producers related to how horrible one particular country is in comparison to another. I do know that my gut reaction is that we should support the rest of the European Countries and U.S. and treat Russia like the pariah Putin and his sycophants are and not buy energy from them. One man's opinion.
Can't wait to see the return on investment on the **millions** spent on that very strategic trip to the UAE. Makes a million on an apartment look like chump change.
That is very logical. Too logical. No they won't do it because it take effort and work. Much easier to just keep laying new taxes and fees on this country and its visitors. We can keep bragging about our increase in tourism volume, but just like everything else, they will kill this golden goose soon too. Already the most expensive Caribbean destination. let's keep taxing boats, planes, Covid insurance for guests....... There is so much money out there in unrealized real estate taxes owed it is mind blowing. No, just keep talking about raising taxes on making sure there is no chance we slide from our proudly held #1 position!!!
Could not agree more. Not only a stable, clean electrical supply, but these "banks" use tremendous amounts of electricity. Makes perfect sense for Brave to get excited about this, where energy costs are off the charts, we live in a Hurricane alley that could wipe out a crypto bank easily. This is right up there with the trip to the F-1 race in Dubai. So much business was dragged back from that wastefully expensive outing. Not.
wonderful history lesson on the past professor. No question we created this problem, but there is no way wealthy British filling up the hotels along cable beach would be a sustainable model for growth. No I have the lights on high and I see our product as a cheap quality, over priced experience. Is your book for sale on Amazon?
Unfortunately most of the posters that I see on this blog will still be dying from Covid in the coming years long before U.S. propaganda poisoning. Anti Vax Whack Jobs. U.S. is not some land of goodness, but if you think that the only reason Bahamar exists is because of the thieving Chinese Construction Company along with the Chinese Government Bank coming along to save the day, along with the MP's at the time getting sweet deals on all the best store locations to the attached mall for pennies on the dollar, you are naive. No the U.S. is out for the U.S. but if you think there is a choice between who we want investing in our country between the U.S. and Chinese, then again you are ignorant. As far as U.S. addiction goes, let's see how long we would last without that U.S. dollar being spent in the most expensive, most poorly rated visitors destination experience in all the Caribbean. Fortunately they are too stupid to realize what a poor value they are receiving and we can go about our business as usual.

No just political dissidents held against their will. Regardless, suggesting we buy oil from Russia now is just pathetic.

I agree with everything you said. In your first sentence. After that you are so morally bankrupt in your opinion.
