I indeed have full confidence in our Commissioner of Police; I personally admire the gentleman; however, other forces are at work by intentionally blocking justice in these critical matters; additionally, the slowness in showing compassion for the victims of police shootings gives the culprits the assurance that their crimes will be covered up, or at least lessened. It is beyond comprehension that any police department can with fair justice investigate itself! Remember too, Sir, Pilate also comforted himself by proclaiming his "clean hands!" Simply buy the land back if it has been sold. Far as I know, we are still a sovereign nation. Long Islanders would never allow one of our most glorious treasues to be blocked from residents and visitors. When will we hear from the BNT? This should have long time ago been declared a national park, and protected forever as one of the world's most unique natural wonders, known and celebrated locally and internationally. We are the chosen guardians of this rare gift and have been given the responsibility to preserve and protect its beauty for ourselves and generations to come. Joseph Darville, A Proud Long Islander.
