... opinions are like noses, everybody has one! If you consider stepping down from your high horse with that supercilious air of faux intelligence that surpasses all others, you may be able to better see facts for what they are!
Chomsky, like every other voter only has one vote. Its not a matter of peoples personal feelings about Trump, but whether or not those with differing feelings vote in larger numbers to win the electoral college! Its important to be objective enough to see how things will move. People will say what they want at the end of the day, barring any intervening acts, either Trump or Biden will be president. With that said Trump has at least a 50% chance of pulling it off!

...we should not be accepting tourists from any country until we have well established protocols for pre-testing or rapid kit testing here. China has been fudging numbers and research from the very beginning!

Secondly, if we import large numbers of people who may be potentially positive that also severely impacts health care reserves in this country. Has the ministry even procured additional supplies in anticipation of a surge in cases? Probably not and with global shortages in masks and everything else how will we cope?

Bahamians have no ingenuity, pride or dignity left! Groveling morons!

The risk will be reduced by how much I wonder. The advice of these government associated "experts" cannot be trusted when their advice defies common sense. They do have their revenue stream to protect and nobody gets to disagree with the boss!

The simple reality is that Trump has many issues, but dementia is not one of them. Trump has accomplished more for the average American voter by reducing unemployment, increasing black home ownership, strengthening the military and signing massive trade deals that will benefit the USA. He did more for the economy in three years, than Biden did in 40. Once unemployment number come down and they head into the debates, Biden will lose easily!

The low death rates in this country have nothing to do with what the competent authority did. In most cases they made things much worse. Consider this:

1) After the first case of covid was diagnosed, people were not really wearing proper masks or social distancing. Many in that family were exposed and they exposed others. Based on their jobs any number of persons easily could have been exposed and our numbers should have been much higher, but they are not!

2) The alphabetized shopping lists created confusion that caused many people to assemble in stores which should increase the risk of exposure and should have cause many hundreds of cases. That did not happen. Not saying people were not infected and asymptomatic, but note how few got sick. Just a few.
3) when the woman in Bimini got sick and died that island was not shut down. We heard nothing about symptoms there until one month later when the government decided to lock things down. The rates of infection there should have been much higher.

The point is either this virus is not as dangerous in our population for some reason based on high rates of exposure or someone is lying about what's' going on. Based on how recklessly Bahamian have behaved, not wearing masks properly, not observing social distancing, going in grocery stores with family etc, our rates of infection should be through the roof and we should have much more than 11 dead. It is certainly not because of governments efforts!

If you want an example of efficient government response look at Taiwan. Population 23 million + with only 7 deaths!!

Interesting he could try to detect trends with limited testing!

A person of average intelligence would be embarrassed to make such doltish and shortsighted decisions. Maybe he doesn't know that he does not get to decide who will be affected. On the other hand this may be another way to have new political leaders emerge!

Equally as important is growing government debt! The government cannot expect the company that processes and supplies water to continue to do so without being paid! Let's hope they do not suspend provision of their services for non-payment!

Governments should never do anything for some that they are not prepared to do for everybody in the same situation.
