I heard on a news report last night that Taiwan has not had one new case of COVID 10 for 200 days. People need to stop making excuses for the ineptitude of our healthcare team managing this pandemic!
*“Why do this to the Bahamian people? They ain’t stupid. They ain’t dumb,” he said. #“The only thing making the bag look big is the cornflakes. Everybody know it’s lockdown. My God, man, at least give the people something nice in the bag so they could enjoy themselves.”*
Instead of getting nothing, he got something and complained. If I were a donor I would not be encouraged to do more for people like this! We must learn to be more grateful as a people!
... If the rot starts at the top, then it starts with those who have no fear of God and worship power and money alone. Then consider your last 2 statements. In failed states that have no religion, what is your explanation for the failure? Broaden your horizons and think, counterfeits only exist because of the reality of the real. Which means if you were to be objective you should acknowledge that there are fake pastors, but there are also those who mean well. There are doctors who are in it for the money, and those who are altruistic. Sleazy lawyers and those with integrity! Some politicians mean well other are in it for themselves. At the most common denominator, this has nothing to do with religion Porcupine. Think!
In this country we need to focus on education, critical thinking and reducing the scourge of single parent homes. This country is a little Chicago and many don't seem to mind!
BTW our PM is a doctor, but he is an incompetent dimwit. They are not mutually exclusive!
... give this some thought and you will realize that thoughts always precede feelings and actions. Acting on a feeling helps to cement that perspective. There is always a point when a person can say no. That is why there are not more dead bosses in the world!! People have thoughts and feelings everyday that they make a decision not to act on! The more a person does something, the more natural it becomes. Celibacy is a choice, as is monogamy and every other form of sexual expression, theft, rape murder etc! Think about it!
@The_Oracle... one does not have to judge when a person states their position.
The moral values of a humanist is always based on what they personally think is right or wrong. In these instances, self interest rules. This is important!
We need to do two thing simultaneously (if that is possible for a Bahamian in government):
1) rapid antibody testing- we need to know who has had the infection and get this group back to work. Every person in the tourism industry should be tested to determine who has already been infected. If a person has been infected, they should be able to go back to work!! The risk of reinfection is extremely low.
2) Antigen testing can determine those who have viral particles in the body. It cannot tell if it is a new infection or a recovered person with virus particles still in the body while they have no symptoms.
If these idiots ordered 1.5 million of each test and started mass testing, this country could know exactly what to do within one week!

BTW the carcinogens in smoking marijuana would be in edibles because they are in the leaf!
All I am saying is that it is not as safe as people try to make it! I personally know people who went to the emergency room after consuming edibles!

I am tired of people talking about how benign marijuana is. It is a drug that causes cancer and other medical conditions!!
