I'm sorry, his decisions are idiotic and his rule must be contested through a vote of no confidence from government ministers.
He is forcing people to congregate at food stores AGAIN, with cloth masks that offer no protection from inhaling the virus! Did he learn nothing from the last time he did that.
He is denying people access to healthcare DURING a healthcare crisis by only allowing them to access care on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays? This is insane. This country will recover from COVID-19, but it may not recover from the poor leadership of Minnis!
... both poor decision making by the government and individuals are to blame. The reality is people were socializing in gb before the travel ban was lifted and there were no cases. This all happened AFTER people were allowed to travel!
... while we wasted millions of dollars on shotspotter technology, signing deals for drones, CCTV cameras and a lot of other nonsense, etc., we don't have one helicopter for our national services! We still have to rely on the Americans to help us surveil hurricane damage, all while we still pander to the Chinese! Interesting!
... at the very least, we should all mutter a prayer of thanks to God for having spared us from the worse case scenario this hurricane could have brought!!
... it does not help that you cannot import proper face masks without the permission of the competent authority, so everybody wearing poorly fitting cloth masks below their noses, while they fail to use common sense to reduce the spread of the virus (people still going to the grocery store in groups and taking children there, driving around with friends etc.)
... Mrs. Sands Granger or her memory were not disparaged in any way, but a bigger man, with a fundamental grasp of comprehension would have known that and simply overlooked a comment he did not agree with!
one can only guess that the authors tributes to so many is her way of doing penance for her many, many unsavory acts! Maybe she does have a conscience after all!
@mandela ... some of us have been careful from the beginning, but one bad government decision can undo all our carefulness! This does not mean we should be careless, but the wrong government decision can have far more impact, in many instances, than my personal decisions!
@hrysippus ... the reason you stated for lock downs is known by all including children. The question is whether or not there is a better way to do it. I look forward to your positive contributions on the matter!
