WHY does the BNT feel that they need to build structures on the protected land? It is a total waste of time and money!! In Abaco they build them, leave the garbage behind after erecting a structure, a storm comes and takes the structures away! It all adds up to a waste of money!.. Pls leave the parks alone! Pay for wardens to protect the environmnent and wildlife. No boardwalks and unecessary signage PLEASE!
A few years ago on the north end of Guana Cay, Abaco, before Baker’s Bay,DISNEY arrived with the big red boat. a wide, deep channel was dredged for the cruise ships to securely gain access to the land. So much fill was dredged from the sea bottom that an ISLAND was created. With the crowds of tourists came pollution and not that many jobs. Eventually, the channel silted over, the ship insurance was cancelled, docks and buildings abandoned, and hurricanes took them away. Why would ANYONE want this to happen again? This is ludicrous. How can the BNT and Government support this.? PLEASE forward this to your friends and save the natural beauty of Lighthouse Point. THIS project should NOT happen.
Traffic congestion would be a nightmare. Noise would also be an issue. Is that just the new norm for living on New Providence? Your density numbers are too high. This is not Hong Kong.
The marching flamingoes at Ardastra Gardens are awesome!.Hopefully there will be another Mr Louissant to continue the show. Our grandchildren and my elderly mama love to visit the Gardens. Recently our grand daughter asked why there were so many neighbouring dogs barking..So we followed the barks to the Bahamas Humane Society and tried to adopt two different dogs and were turned away😢 They explained that the two dogs were each spoken for by employees. Perhaps we are not worthy of adopting a BHS dog, even though my aunt endowed part of the current operation.?. Off subject, but a visit to the Ardastra Garden is a fun family outing.
