Ha! I hope that they don't send the letters out by snail mail as it will take the usual three weeks to arrive locally. I will believe what Dr. Minnis says when they start disconnecting "the list".
You start paying eye sore tax on your property first well mudda, and let "dem Bay Street" folks know how it feels.... or perhaps you don't own any property to tax?
What does it matter who owns the blighted property! The fact is that every tourist who drives to Atlantis sees the embarrassing condition of our downtown, easpecially east of East Street. Ingraham with Mosko's hard work, moved the shipping from Rawson Square east, to Arawak Cay, and the nice little "mom and pop" shops that supported the wharf workers closed due to lack of business. Then the homeless and criminals moved into the area, rents fell or became non existent, and rats run rampant through barbed wire fences on poorly maintained buildings now. I warned Sir Hubert years ago about this and he would hear nothing of it. Today, we need to take politics and race out of the revitalization process. Current property owners I'm sure are anxious and willing to collaborate and move forward with a plan. However, I doubt that they will do so if it isn't a profitable or viable investment. This is where Government needs to cooperate. The ball is in the Government's court now to work together.... and at the same time, keep the Chinese OUT.
P.S. The one hour waits were between 11.30a and 1.00p (different days and different flghts) Do you think that you might be able to improve the situation by mid August for my next departure please.???? Think of all the bahamians who will be travelling in AUGUST😉😉😝
OMG.....the tourists departing who experience what I experienced twice in the last month in the security at LPIA,will never ever return to Nassau. PLEASE... someone must add more screeners ( there were two lanes open) and I waited one hour to complete the mission on both occasions.Furthermore, there were approx. seven security employees just standing around chatting. The money needs to be spent on the human screeners being trained properly, who are not rude and inept and SLOW. Mr D'Aguilar I know that you have a lot on your plate, but PLEASE spend some valuable time improving this disaster happening every day to both visitors and locals alike.
Comrade Tal, The snake lived up to his name and purchase the entire 100 acres twelve yrs ago from me and my Bahamian family. I hope that he doesn't bulldoze the beautiful trees that my father planted fifty years ago on property. Mangoes, pears, ficus etc. it will def flood if not filled. There are beautiful ponds and wildlife on property. The Trust should keep an eye on dozers destroying it. It is prettier than Lyford Cay was when they began developing... just have to stop the criminals. Perhaps Sir Snake can help with that issue island wide?
Mudda we tired of you mon... If you aren't a racist, you truly sound like one, and we don't listen to it or care about it anymore. Your monologues are boring. Please hang it up. Thank you
