What is Bahamian Customs thinking? These (mainly)tourists have paid a lot of money to travel to the Bahamas. They are tired from travelling, and Bahamas Customs makes them wait in a long line to be processed ....for generally nothing.
This negativity shown to inbound tourists will be shared with others, and THEY will travel elsewhere where their Customs are friendly, accomodating and appreciative of the visitor.
i.e. Cuba, Mexico, Turks and Caicos, Bermuda, Costa Rica, Belize.....just to name a few countries.

I suppose that if the public is shooting one another, the police feel free to do the same.!
Isn't it sad that they SHOOT a mentally deranged man to subdue him? It is truly like the wild, wild West in New Providence. Scary..

If I were a young person with your talent, I would move to America.. Do it soon before it becomes more difficult. If you are not American. You can always return home to visit or live for that matter.
Life is a struggle in the Bahamas for most everyone. Unfortunately, with this Government it will only get worse I fear. You don't ever want to regret not going.

"The plans have been drawn up, and hopefully by the end of the yearS, we will have a finalized plan..."
Freudian slip there... Yes, I'm sure that if gov't has anything to do with it, it will take YEARS.

Not to mention that the environment has irrepairable damage to it. The Bahamas National Trust should bring this to the govt's attention...Bimini may no longer LOOK like a Family Island, but is just the same as Exuma, Abaco etc.Thank you Loretta for speaking up! Prime Minister what are you thinking about?

You watch....the Chinamen will pay off the Ministry of Works (or whoever it takes,) and the nasty, distasteful project will proceed as if nothing happened.
Brent Symonette shouldn't be the only "watchdog" to this disastrous project in the heart of our town.
