I would not agree that the country is going in the wrong direction. We may have not gotten what we were expecting but due to the two dilemmas presented it may have been difficult putting money in your pockets. Look at the positive side of it, a lot of folks were not laid off from the public sector and the private sector due to measures being put in place. Could imagine if the public servants had to depend on social services/NIB benefits. In addition, life is much easier now due to the services brought online and are continuing to be brought online, e.g passport, driver's license renewals, birth and death certificates, vehicle licensing, police records, business licenses to name a few. No more towing long lines in the sun and rain. Just visit mygateway.gov.bs and sign up to reap the benefits. In addition, over 50 young bahamian consultants were hired to ensure that life is being made easier for us. No foreign company were hired to perform those roles, keeping the monies in our economy. Like I say, it may not be monies in your pockets but life is a bit easier. That's pointing our country in the right direction. Even the Parliamentary Registration Department now gave a website where you can to to get information, register for early voting, and meet your candidates. That's progress.
If I was the union rep I would have not comment on this because if only show how lousy and power/money hungry they are. 2014 - election 2017, agitate from then until 2017 Government changed, agitate from 2017 - now. From 2014 to a few weeks ago, mum was the word. Y'all ain't push the issue when the country could have afforded these adjustments, now sabotaging because election is being called. Bad negotiation practices. Before becoming a union leader, please attend some training in successful negotiation practices. Ideana Burrows, Keith Archer, Shane Gibson, Charlie Bethel, to name a few were real union negotiators. Take a page out of their book.
How coincidental Mr. Brooks that squads from 2014 2016 and 2017 just realized that they have not been confirmed a few days before an election that is being held 7 and 5 years later. Where have they been all those years prior to this or they just realized that they ain't confirmed. Very interesting. The same thing they are doing now could have been done from 2025 - 2021. This shows poor leadership on the unions behalf. Stop throwing the blame on the director/former directors. You all as union leaders are lousy as hell. You are not fighting for us and blaming the directors.
Pierre. Bahamian. Father last name? What happen to Johnson, Rolle, Munroe, Smith. Sonething fishy with this. Did the bahamian father register the child as his own or is this for convenience. Why didn't the father get the children and keep them, why didn't he go to the CDC with the children birth certificate to prove he is the father of these 2 children. Shame on him. My children wasn't going through that. Fishy, fishy fishy.. prsy for their safety.
Harley Moultrie goosie these people with the leaflet he semt out on social media and gat them in a frenzy. If you ready, what are you worrying about. Yall been predicting early election sooooo long ago, yall should have already have this on lockdown. What yall fraid off. Only when you ain sure about something, it worries you. Early or no early, if you ain ready, you ain ready. We Ready now. Think Minnis calling election now. He gat some cats in the bag he need to let out first and some projects on stream that need to get started. Ten (10) months to roll some things out. He ga stretch this to the limit.
Yea birdie. Crime is just as political as the billboards the PLP had on the roundabouts a few elections ago. It ain't no bigger nor smaller than that now. Just saying.
I going out west and grab 10 acres and start building flat on the ground with all the old lumber and pallets hanging around Nassau. I then ga buy a generator and hook it up, dig a hole in the ground and do # 1 and # 2, I ga then find a W & S water pipe running along the road and tap into that. I ga get some chickens and let them run around, setup a numbers house, bank, clinic and food store I then dare the courts to have me removed from there.
