Ms. Russell. There is no such thing as Attorney General's office, as there is no Governor General's office. It should read Attorney's General office. Just for future reference.
You all worrying about the high fine as opposed to the safety of our peoples on our streets. A high amount of traffic fatalities and traffic jams are due to folks on their cell phone texting and talking. I've been behind folks who have had traffic at a standstill for a while because their heads was down and they texting. Some people can't talk and drive, less text and drive. If you don't want to pay the fine, then follow the new laws. Before cell phones and tablets came around, what you use to do?. Get with it. If you do the crime, do the time and pay the fine. It's as simple as that. When a family member of yours get killed by a person taxting, drinking, God forbid, then you will know how it feels then.
It's about time this is exposed. Those vehicles are protruding into the road. You can't veer of the road because there is no where to go as there is no side of the road. I have wrote the environmental health on numerous occasions to no avail. Spoke to former minister Dorsette when he was minister, he posted on his facebook page that he had them move the cars only to drive pass that evening and only one car was gone. The bodies of these vehicles are in the road and he now occuoies both siders of the road, Use to utilize the haitian church proprty also and the blocked if off from him getting access. The house across the street, he must have forced them out cause that yard is now full of vehicles. Spoke to environmental health a few weeks ago and the lady told me she know where it is cause she passes there everyday but they were busy removing derleict vehicles from the shanty towns. Thanks Tribune for highlighting this and don't ease up on them,.
Think I read it right. Potcake is mad cause they advertising his place for sale after trying to negotiate with this gobment to enter a lease agreement for the buildings. As far as I know, if any bank put your place up for sale due to defaulting on payments, you can't tell the bank that you will get into a lease agreement with them for the building that is being repossessed. This is totally insane on his behalf. Why must we pump more money into he and his family's pockets, I say Resolve, take the full thing like what you did with Phils on Gladstone road. All the ministries/departments that Leslie say are entering lease agreements with him, need to move in with no lease agreements but for government to take it outright.
Reclassified. Fa real. Send they behind back home. The CCA breached their contact/agreement. They were brought in as unskilled laborers and not paying any sort of fees. They are doing bahamian construction workers jobs. How long must we suffer as a people with foreigners taking our jobs and treating us as donkeys. I say revoke those permits because they deceived the government. Should have learnt from Baha Mar. CCA is a crooked company and need to be shut down. I am tired of them.
Ok Economist, then let the company (if foreign) you are working for (if working) let you go and hire a foreign staff member to replace you, then you will see the logic behind the policy in place.
How is this killing foreign investment. If you have the qualified bahamians here, why not hire them. With unemployment so high we don't need foreign staff to fill positions that we can fill. Those banks are on the verge of pulling out anyway whether they reject or accept the foreign workers. They are streamlining for a better selling porice
