Mister PM, if you are driving out east by yourself for absolutely NO reason, then it is ok to turn around at any point you choose. If, however, you have convinced a bus load of people to go out east with you and they have a purpose or getting on the bus, then you turning around when you please is a betrayal. Those people will likely get off your bus and find another means to their destination. Five years ain too far away.

On Minnis: It's okay to change your mind

Your criticism of Herbert Brown is unfair. He has been trying for many years to improve the healthcare facilities and equipment, but on a multitude of occasions the Cabinet refused his requests for additional funding. Very often he had to revert to the band-aid approach just to keep the hospital functioning.
A lesser Managing Director than Herbert Brown would have had way worse results.

I saw no reference to the forfeiture of the ill gotten gains in the article. Does the person get to keep this property after his 3 years in prison or is it forfeited to the crown. If it isn't forfeited, the three years might be worth it depending on what you get.

Why is anyone surprised that Minnis is ineffective? We saw his lackluster performance as Opposition Leader...did you expect a miraculous turn around? You get exactly what you vote for...now deal with it!!!

This government needs to decide if it is indeed going to BE transparent or if it is going to just TALK about being transparent. Transparency demands that you publish the list and not just say there is a list. So Mister Prime Minister, show us this transparency you talk about.

Maybe you should pay more attention to what you read. The Central Bank's figures are up to the end of March which means the DO NOT give they whole picture. It is not inconceivable that the government either spent or contracted to spend the balance in the month before the election. We all know they were giving out exorbitant contracts all around.

How about saying sorry for wasting and pilfering billions in VAT revenue; for support corruption among your cabinet (Jerome, etc); for ignoring the will of the people on the gaming referendum; for lying to us about tabling the BAMSI contracts, the BPL proposal; for interfering in a private matter at Bahamar...the list goes on. Many of those things weren't just mistakes, they were deliberate acts of shafting the Bahamian people.

Why John? Is it because he is saying something that doesn't suit your taste?
When are we going to focus on the substance of the message and not its source?
It is small minds like yours that keep this country stagnant and beholden to political gods.
