To have only 800 people on an inaugural cruise with a great many being special invites, travel agents and so on shows that the Bimini Superfast concept is going down fast. No matter how much they advertise they will eventual have to change their master plan and start cruising to Grand Bahamas and other places bringing some passengers but more profitable as a cargo carrier. As they have poured in millions into the hotel and pier they will have to keep going to Bimini maybe only on weekends but the rest of the week this will change. I predict early next year when they see that they are still losing money concentrating only on Bimini.
Where is the follow up? Are these guys in jail yet or did money payoff the courts once again. Come on Tribune please stay on these guys as well as the pier that Genting/Capo is pushing for. This must be stopped.
There is only one liar and that is Resorts World Bimini. I hope that CBP fines them for every night cruise that they did illegally. Wake up news teams and great reporting Neil Hartnell.
The executives of Resorts World Bimini are scampering around to save there big pay checks. I personally know from insiders that attend the HOD meetings that the position that they are in is definetly due to bad decisions.
As I have access to inside information from back in May/June when the ship first came to Miami, I can tell you that no only where bad business decisions made but where made with arrogance. The executives lead by Colin Aw went about decisions with lack of thought and consequences. There was plenty of money and everything could be had because they were Getting and Genting gets its way. My sources mentioned that due to these bad decisions the cruise to nowhere was started to stem the losses of low pax count due o the loss of time with tendering to the island. This did not stop the beginning of layoffs in the company starting with reservation. As soon as CDP put a stop to the cruise to nowhere then more people were let go to the skeleton crew that they have to today. Good people gone due to arrogance from the top.
Gening deserves to lose big on this because they do not care at all about Bimini, it is all about Miami and the Casino that they want to build.
