Both the political parties have not done their best to ensure the growth of Bahamians, for example BEC - all businesses cost of goods or services would increase if their cost increase; BTC - sale of the utility company was a poor management company, if the government sold shares even at $100 per share the share issued would have been over subscribe. The same effort to promote the purchase of the Arawak Container Port shares could have been used.
VAT - takes away the disposable income of each Bahamian and affects the middle to low income citizens.

The government needs to cautious with international consultants, banks and global treaties. If Bahamians will be affected then do not sign. Bahamians are equally educated to develop our on system of taxation and laws so why have the governments over the previous years not listen - are they working for Bahamians or the individuals/businesses that finance their campaigns.

If the teachers have worked then pay them what is due to them. The issue is the Government took so long to pay and now with the economy slow there is no money. The funds owed should have been in the budget.

In the 1980s when all the P.E. Teachers stop coaching the schoool teams because they wanted to get pay for the after school sports activities. This was detrimental to the Bahamas. This was the time when all the gangs started and/or number of members grew. Only the children was hurt and suffered, not the government nor the P.E. Teachers. The only sport program that continued was the Chess Tournaments between schools - Thank you Mr. Warren Seymour (Math Teacher).

The private schools started their own sports association as a result of the P.E. Teachers in the government schools system stopping the sports programs in the 1980s.

In 2013 - All sporting activities and after school classes stop - Here we go again. I will reiterate 'only the children will suffer'

The Leaders involve would tell us, they care about the development of the youth but their actions do not.

Bahamians, Parents we have the power, lets work together to ensure the government and the union make the right decisions concerning the growth of our children.
