I'm sorry but Mr. Galanis has only now decided to speak up on it AFTER the vote was returned. Where was all of this beforehand?? Mr. Galanis himself said that shares were willing to be offered to the public to purchase should it be legalised. It was the campaign for the vote yes that it should be legalised...along with being regulated and taxed...so who is at fault?? To me it seems as if everyone is trying to save face and try to slyly place the blame on the Bahamian public when all along the public was crying out for more information from both sides. Should they have listened to the cries before the vote there may have been a different result. Until then I employ the minority of persons who had more of a personal gain behind the Yes vote to go and pick up their faces that are now lining the street...I don't wanna get any dirt on the bottom of my shoe.

So why did Mr. Munroe wait until after the vote to speak up....I'm sure he had every opportunity available to bring this to the forefront....I'm guessing the money wasn't right until after the votes came back in....Hmmmmm

And no date will ever be set!!! In my opinion this was always Plan B should the people vote no. It is remarkable that Wayne Munroe's services were retained just for this very instance. Once again the public made their voices heard and the government refuses to listen. I smell a conspiracy!!!

I think the PM is trying to give a revamp of the argument to vote yes. He is trying to say that a no vote will cause thousands to lose their jobs and we as Bahamians will be responsible not himself....and it is wrong of him to make that argument simply because it is the Government's job to create jobs within the public sector. It is unfair to place that much weight on the minds of the Bahamian public.

I concur with the above. It seems like a last ditch effort by the number boys and the PLP as a way to garner votes from the Bahamian public. But if the vast majority of the public that agrees to legalising web shops are the same persons that are participating in it where are they going to find the money to purchase shares.....the persons that don't participate are largely the persons that are for the Vote No campaign and they MAY have the money to purchase shares but won't simply because of their reasons for voting no. The only persons that do stand to benefit from purchasing any shares would be the big boys that sit at the top of the pyramid that only sprinkle a few crumbs down to the broke masses.

I was thinking the same thing of your last thought. And the insistence that they be quickly found is quite ridiculous simply because in many missing persons cases there is not much evidence or leads to follow up on. It is clear there allegations of their relatives being kidnapped for their organs is based on the lawlessness that is found in their country but it would be unimaginable to believe that we have a black market for selling organs in the Bahamas.

I do pray that they find the answers they have been seeking and the police force are able to gain more leads and insight into this situation.

It shouldn't matter when the opportunity first arose to question the PM about the wording of the question. It's as if he's placing the blame the vote no campaign for waiting to question him and his cabinet, but if the questions only recently came out then what is to be expected. A simple solution would be to change the question not entertain them for a time and then still go ahead as if their voices should not be heard.

I concur with the above statements.....it seems as if both persons who could have acted in the correct capacity wish to wash their hands and place all of the blame on Mr. Fitzgerald. Although he did admit to reviewing the file and making the decision I must question what are his qualifications to be able to determine if a case should be thrown out based on national security. If this simple gun case could be thrown out on that basis then every thug and hoodlum that comes before the courts under the same circumstances can now be afforded to them as well. The fact that Mr. Fitzgerald has failed to further comment on his decision leaves minds to wonder if he was merely a puppet in a grander scheme.

Come on.....we all knew that Cable and Wireless would not release their majority share in BTC. The PLP's campaign promise was only fluff for the mindless sheep that voted them in on that promise. Now the PLP must pay those who acted as negotiators during the talks between the PM and the executives of Cable and Wireless. These negotiators went into the talks knowing full well that the deal would not be worked out so now they will be even richer than before. It was a fruitless effort and a mere ploy to pacify the Bahamian public. The PM makes it appear as if the executives were the bad guys during the entire negotiation but from the jump it was clear of their position......I can only shake my head at this.

Mr. Rolle needs to be careful with his advice to the general public....he needs not to be giving the public the idea that the only way to protect your premises is to shoot any intruder.
