I happen to know that the promotion exercise was something in the works for about 3 to 2 years now!! The FNM attempted to "clear out" all those promotion that "got stuck" in the maze call public services. I had some family members who got "plenty" promotion. . .thousands of them in the last year or so that we heard nothing about!!
I did my checking and found out that there are hundreds more still in the pipe line. . .possible being hold up by PLPs to "stop votes" for doc or the FNM hold them up themselves to use as "hostage" so that public servants "will have to vote for them" if they want their promotions. . .they know that the PLP are not good for promotions for anybody who are not PLP!!
A "little birdie" in one of them unions says: "they holding up on letters" for promotion approved months ago. Why are they doing so? Nobody seem to know!! The unions them are "clammering" to get a deal with the government before a possible PLP government. . .them PLP are not goOD for "dealing in good faith"! Workers don't want much to do with them!!
But I must add. . .Mr. Rolle did look "a lil amatureish" on stage "playing" like they "just gee" them workers their promotions!! Them promotion are "old news". . .possibly to have greater "affect" on voters buying just before the election!!
Mr. Rolle says "heen tryna buy votes". . .but it sure as heck looked so ta me!! Even though I know them promotions are long before this election even was in the cards, so to speak. . .the man looked like he was "baitin" voters!!

Exit surveys, poll workers knows their constituants and estimate the likelihood of how a person voted. . .then the act of "judging" a win on a high degree of probability that a win is more likely than not!! Each voter is retricted by his/her polling division. . .poll workers for that division know their "people"! More of their people go into the polling station than the people of the other guy. . .BOOM!! That spells gravy for ya boy them. . .unless their "expectants" swinging them!! Yinna know what I am talking about. . ."gat they money and een ger vote fer dem". . ."swinging" like!!
Otherwise, just how doc them can infere that they won the advanced poll. . .the PLP them "see" they got their behinds handed to them. . .inferentially!!
Anybody who knows Fred can tell yinna he up to his "old ways" of suggesting all kindda crap!!! Both party know quite well who "get they behind kick" and who "got the beacon" in that advanced poll!! Don't allow Fred ta take yinna for fools. . .he knows quite well who "got what"!! Fred them done "took the tempature of this election from information gathered by poll workers their poll workers . . .them poll worker are no joke. . .they can work a poll "like nobody business"!
The advanced poll is a "good measure" of how the swing voters them are "leaning". . .this is the "likely thinking" of the 20% ers. . .who I might add. . .win governments!!
It only left the party die hards. . .Fred and Brave together is a hard sell for the PLP. . .neither of whom would "step aside" for a better sell like Mr. Sears!!
I think Doc took the public service for granted becaude the PLP sticks with Brave as their leader. . .its like deciding which side of the wall you will jump on! On one side of that wall there are two big dogs and on the other side of the wall there are four big bad dogs. . .just as big and as rabid "as all get out"!!

I have been a presiding officer for many years and never once did I received a "sealed" ballot box from the advanced polls on any election day I served!! Come poll opening on election day. . .the key for a locked box is all I received and the locked box brought in under escort by the police and returning officer!!
The end of counting ballots at poll closing, the ballot box is locked again using the same lock given at poll opening and then " taped, sealed and waxed" and taken from the room by the police and the returning officer!!
I am not saying that it is not a good idea to seal the ballot boxes after the advanced polls. . .just that I don't remember ever seeing it done before as I worked the polls!
