What is unchristian is not paying your bills and having no intention of ever paying them!! The government had not made a payment since last September. Almost a whole year and yet they are shocked. If the GB power company had not cut them off they would never pay. Do as I say, not as I do.
The excuses that Miller uses do not placate me at all. I had a business for 10 years (with an equally oversized BEC bill) and BEC never let me go more than 1 day over my due date! The disconnector would show up at the door and I had to pay immediately. Mostly I hadn't paid because I had not received a bill in the mail and time had gotten away from me (still my fault though). I was NEVER given even a 24hour break! Just to show you there are two sets of laws in this country- you and them!
The stadium is brand new, but had to be renovated to meet IAAF specifications????? The most popular sports for Bahamian athletes are in track and field and the stadium was not built to standard in track and field? What? Where is the foresight here? Everything is done backwards and wastes money. Tax payers money. MY money. This is ridiculous.
Fox Hill Nursery has lime trees for sale at $25. Do the math- the government could get 40,000 trees for one million dollars!! Or they could have gotten the 1,000 trees for $25,000 (and probably gotten a discount for the large order) and saved the treasury $975,000. What happened to put Bahamians first???
