Instead of using our police cars to do personal runs about the island maybe we can use these cars for patrolling the streets. The police patrol is still not visible. In certain areas, cars should be seen every 20 to 30min just moving about.
These banks that charge for everything under the sun need to do a better job protecting their customers. They charge us to protect our money, and they then in turn make money from it and then do little to protect us from fraud
If a need for money is a problem then I would be happy to pay a tax to protect the Bahamas from evasion by all outsiders, unfortunately, Haiti is and has always been unstable from the French colonization to the present, and with this and our close proximity along with our dollar value, free health care, and free education, which most developing countries in our region don't have, makes the Bahamas a target. If this migration is not stopped or held at bay and continues the Bahamas and Bahamians in 50 years as we know it will be no more and shantytowns would be in the middle of Baystreet. Haiti has a population of over 11 million with a poverty rate of 70% living under the poverty line, while approximately 50% live on **$1.25 a day**, if just 4% of their population would end up migrating here we would be wiped out. My Bahamas would be finished. The good thing for me is I will be dead and gone and not have to see this, the sad part is for all those left behind.
In Russia a person is thrown in jail for protesting against their leader, the Bahamas is no different from Russia, we just hide under the guise of being a democratic country.
I feel as though if I a desendant of the Bahamaland have to go out and struggle to pave my way which includes but is not limited to, pay for my living, pay elect, water, live in a legal boundary of land, have proper sanitation, and build on land that is owned by me. If I have to go thru this f$$k to live comfortable, why should any forigner and illegal get all this for free? F$$K that.

Good going Mr, George Smith, set the record straight, even if the fact is that the FNM didn't want independence is true.
