What is the purpose of the National Intelligence Agency? Why don't they do their intell work and find the importers and sellers of these guns? How can such an agency be touted that this agency could protect the Bahamas as far as intelligence gathering in cases of terrorist attacks against the land and they can't even stop attacks from within? What a useless waste of money, and a waste of an agency.
The law is the law, why should a few be allowed to live, possess and own land just by illegally squatting on the land? If this is allowed to continue unchecked then where will it end? In the Bahamas, it is not Haitian of Bahamian descent but the other way around, Bahamian of Haitian descent. If a person is living in the Bahamas and considers themself a Haitian of Bahamian descent then clearly they are living in the wrong place and should be living in a shantytown in Haiti and not in the Bahamas Oh! true, true Bahamians can't live, possess or own crown land illegally which they are entitled to and we are also humans. the law is the law.
Amen! police as with any organization should never ever be allowed to investigate themselves, how backwards and undemocratic is that. This is dictatorship at its finest and the way police states get started. The RBPF is slowly becoming the untouchables, the unaccountable.
The person who sat at a table next to a man who forged, who signed someone else's signature on a 5 billion dollar contract, and after being caught red-handed nothing never happened to either perpetrator of this crime against Bahamians. The Law should be for everyone not just for a selective set of persons. 5 persons in a group allowed on the beach, but over 100 persons allowed to be in a group campaigning.
It would be a big step forward to eradicate shantytowns and much safer and healthier, most of the older Haitians and the ones smuggled in today come from shantytowns in their homeland, that's all they know and are comfortable with, you can take the person out of the shantytown but you can't take the shantytown out of the person.
This explains why policing is the way it is, pure political interference, If the Bahamas wants a good police force they would need a good PM man or women. If they want a brutal military force then choose PM Minnis.
