It would be a big step forward to eradicate shantytowns and much safer and healthier, most of the older Haitians and the ones smuggled in today come from shantytowns in their homeland, that's all they know and are comfortable with, you can take the person out of the shantytown but you can't take the shantytown out of the person.
This explains why policing is the way it is, pure political interference, If the Bahamas wants a good police force they would need a good PM man or women. If they want a brutal military force then choose PM Minnis.
So when Mr. PM is campaigning with his people in the constituencies with his hopeful MP;'s aren't they also blocking up the area, this looks and smells like something political, looks like someone is running scared, this time around is going to be a repeat of election 2012 with a strong presence of third parties.
The question is were there any running lights on either of the boats because if there were then that's a different thing, boat safety should be required and checked upon for persons operating any watercraft be it a jet ski or a vessel.
Right is right and wrong is wrong, once any unregulated community is allowed to be created and then allowed to grow and flourish it becomes a danger to itself and all the surrounding communities. I would also like to be given free land and I was born here under British rule.

Cameras should be installed in all police stations and their interrogation room, no matter where, no matter how remote a location. the public should also have access to viewing when required, as the police station belongs to the citizens and not to three persons, the police commissioner, minister, PM
With that type of statement Mr. commissioner, things will never change, people have to continue to film no matter what because you can't count on the police to protect and serve which they swore to do by taking an oath.
