We closed the beach on the independence weekend saying we are doing this to stop the spread of the virus only to have already opened the border to all, the cases we are seeing today, this is ludicrous, and a betrayal to our 4mths of sacrifice, because at this rate we are sure to see the country shut down.

They won't consider banning travel to and from the USA until it's too late.

For a few dollars more starring Clint Eastwood oops sorry starring the Minnis government, 4mths closed and in the last month (30 days) of being closed no cases. 15 days open and 15 new cases what a waste of our 4mths of suffering.

Why are our borders open up to the USA citizens at this time for a couple of dollars which can't and won't help our GDP at this time make on sense?

Since the border was opened on July 1st have we seen an influx of tourists coming in that would in any way be any substantial help to our GDP? No, but what we have seen in 15 days since opening up is almost on average 1 new case per day and the possibility of another shutdown, so we are risking the health of our nation for a couple of dollars. Invite tourists from countries with lower risk. The USA at this time is not one of them. They should be banned at this time and Bahamians should not be allowed to travel there also at this time. The USA covid-19 handling is a disaster and we are jumping of a cliff just as they are to make them happy, the only thing is they can take care of themselves, they can print $$$$$$$$. We can't do either.

I read a lot and observe if you read today's Tribune you will see tourist gets a complete discharge, why? they told the judge that two police officers in brown told them they would turn their backs and close their eyes while they enjoy the beach, ok cool but then they arrest Bahamians for not wearing masks.

In theory, no-one is supposed to be above the law but we all know better, the RBPF officers are so D-average they are pulling over motorists with their windows up and A/C piping and driving without a face mask, I mean how D-average can a person be. They are so D-average a person would be lost for words and they only go after black Bahamians. White tourist come and break our laws and nothing is done and nothing will be done, a white captain confronts officers while having guns and ammunition in his possession and firing at them and nothing happens in fact they ran away from him, In the mornings they get out of bed and looks in the mirror and hates what they see, a D-average bully, they then goes out to hate on other persons their own color and worships persons of a different color.

The government knew and knows that there is no way for them to control persons entering the country, such a task is way above their mental capacity and ability, so it's all talk to calm our fears, because if they cared they would not have opened the borders to USA citizens at this time, not until their virus cases come down to acceptable levels.

No accountability the RBPF feels and acts as if they are above the law, but there is a law greater than all of us including RBPF. Time will tell and reveals all.

Now use that same energy on employers who illegally hire illegals to work please put that same effort to bring them before the courts.
