I wonder, Mr. Myers, can you please name a country with a higher level of foreign direct investment per capita than the Bahamas?............I am waiting. Dummy

momoyama says...

Your moniker fits you. My favourite Lewis Carroll character. It would be nice if you waded into the calm waters of reality every now and again, though. It would be nice if you could address matters like statistics intelligently rather than running on with nonsense. As for this hero of yours, he just needs to stop evading taxes and spare us his utterly ignorant forays into matters beyond his understanding.

momoyama says...

Yes. Beyond Pathetic.

what this clown and others like him need to explain is why they are not paying their fair share of our tax burden through a tax on personal and corporate income, like almost every other country on the planet. And NO, the VAT was not introduced and increased to 12 percent because of corruption (in the 29th least corrupt country out of 180), but because our government listens to clowns like this and continues to exempt the wealthy from income taxes and instead shift the burden for running our country (with a paltry 17% of GDP in taxes) onto the poor and middle class.

momoyama says...

The Bahamas is 29th least corrupt country on earth. This is even after the most corrupt government we have ever had has been carrying on 2 solid years of antics. It is the least corrupt caribbean country after Barbados and well ahead of many developed countries.

What this moron is taking away from this report bears zero resemblance to reality.

When even hopelessly biased Tribune readers are saying these dudes should go, then you know they screwed up. They should never have been elected in the first place.

momoyama says...

Well said

momoyama says...

Nice try. But independence has done us well. And both parties have been imperfect, but made us into the least corrupt (according to transparency international) and highest human development (according to the UNDP's index) and best governed black country in human history. You people really need to travel and read before you come out with this kind of ignorant rubbish. Pindling, Ingraham and Christie left us a fine country, but of course with many areas of improvement. Minnis and Co. bamboozled the populace with the kind of twaddle you are selling and are proceeding to undermine every achievement of their predecessors. Only with this crew are we heading backwards.

momoyama says...

it is people like you who put politics before everything else that are effing up our country. Wrong is wrong, whether PLP or FNM. This matter rises to a new level of wrongdoing and brazen corruption. If Perry, or Hubiggety or any other PM permitted two ministers to corrupt the police force and undermine the judicial system in pursuit of framing a citizen, they would be rightly urged to resign.

momoyama says...

Birdie, note how even Tribune readers (like those commenting in here) are beginning to wake up from the kool-aid that brought this idiotic crew to office. I note (quietly) that, drip by drip, even the most brainwashed, anti-PLP dimwits are beginning to wake up, although most are too ashamed to admit it still. Licks2 is probably Minnis himself, so no hope for that one.
