Obviously the 90M will not be used to decrease the deficit or pay down the debt, and the revised budget they bring will find some way to spend that 90M to cover their friends, family and lovers.

A balance sheet is simple. Income versus expenditures. For a government with a gussie mae cabinet that just increased its expenses, and lowering VAT, that just reduced its income, what does that spell. deficit increases.

It is simple common sense.

But then again, you always speak as if you know everything, so don't expect less.

The increases has nothing to do with fossil fuel price increases. GB Power has a hedge agreement for their fuel prices, so their fuel cost is not impacted by the changing dynamics of fuel like BPL.

The increases are simply the greed of GB Power, especially when they charge power users now a fee to recoup what they spent fixing their system after Hurricane Dorian.

Totally agree with you,

However, wait to see if you will hear that from the mouth of Davis or the minister in charge of public service.

Despite Davis comments about finances in trouble, they already rescinded the policy of retired persons brought back to government getting pension and salary. There is no concern about streamlining the country's finances.

I have to disagree with you on this. You just don't jump up and say cut VAT without any analysis whatsoever.

The fact is the government will lose revenue. Where will they make that revenue from? Raise taxes elsewhere? That is the only way they can make up the shortfall. Additional taxes.

Davis only made the vat speech on the campaign trail for political purposes. He just was looking for votes.

However, time will tell whether Smith or Davis is correct. Hopefully it won't be to the detriment of the Bahamas.

I give right where right is due. I tip my hat to Alfred Sears, as he did the right thing in recusing himself. Munroe on the other hand? Well he showed the type of integrity he has.

This report needs to be thrown in the trash. How could you be engaged to do and investigation and you only speak to one set of parties concerned? This clearly makes the investigators and the report seemingly biased.

Anything I see Bodie's name attached to, I do not waste my time reading, as like the now OPM press secretary, Bodie has no objectivity, and it clear they talking for something. They really do a disservice to real journalism
