So will we have a curfew and our borders stay closed until the United States has no more cases? I just don't see if one family has the 4 persons affected by the virus the point of a 24 hour curfew and closed borders. This is like the dictators in Africa treat their people. Maybe I am missing something.

Contrary to the report in this article that all NGO have left Abaco that is not true. While a number of the international ones have left, there there are still about 2 local ones with international offices still in Abaco.

Not only that, he just stereotyped everyone into one pot about cooking. Does he not realise that due to the Hurricane some people do not have anything to cook with?

So what about people who need to get out of Nassau? Does that mean they can not leave? At least could have given a window for people to leave.

There is no other place here in Freeport to put a person until something is set up at the makeshift hospital in Freeport. I'm appalled by the insensitivity by the people of West End. After all, isn't West End the capital of Grand Bahama? I guess if someone there gets the virus then they don't want them in their own community to be treated.

Have you seen the University of the Bahamas dorms that got destroyed in Dorian? With no power and a destroyed building how could you put someone there?

Cruise lines do nothing to benefit the local economy. They do to get more for themselves. How can you say you are for Bahamians, and as soon as one has something, it gets pulled for the foreigner. Guess only for Bahamians if they get the low paying jobs.
.
While one seeks to weigh the needs of the many against the few, why is it that it is always Bahamians who get the short end of the stick. How many other nations would take a Bahamian over their won national?

Who says they will pass. Have you read the Bible lately?

Same thing I was thinking. Cause if it $1,200 a day looks like I in the wrong profession and need to get a jitney too.

It has nothing to do with desperation. It has to do with the humanitarian response in a time of crisis. It shows that people are still human. Further, Trump does not relate with Cuba, so why would the US negotiate anything. Whether we wish to admit it, our country got this one wrong. Imagine if the people looked us after Hurricane Dorian and said we on our own? Cuba showed the way how you react when others are hurting.
