Let me put my conflict of interest out there squarely. I support the FNM.. But i have never heard such crap as this in all my life. A member of the party blasts out others members publicly, and you say it was dealt with internally and privately. Apparently not, if people are asking to have a public apology. That is nonsense. If you blast someone out publicly, tarnishing their reputation and character, then you should deal with your so call private apology publicly. . I am just disheartened that every time the leaders in a party i support get the opportunity to do the right thing, and take the higher road as leaders, they show that they are just as bad or even worse than the PLP.
While I am a proponent of Health Insurance being available for all, I am not a proponent of the government being involved in running it. The government said Vat would solve our borrowing problems and reduce the national debt. They are boasting about the fact that they will collect more money than they anticipated for VAT this year. But did anyone noticed they just had a bill in parliament to borrow more money . Has anyone look at the government corporations, which most are monopolies, and yet they can never turn a profit. They present way NHI is structured with the government running it, and seeking to kill off private insurers regardless of what they say, that will be another bankrupt entity that we will taxed to the hilt to pay for . Rather than trying to rush something, the government if they care about people need to sit down with stakeholders and listen rather than trying to ram down their dictatorial, Chavez style plan down people's throat. If this goes through, we will be the next Venezuela of the region.
The minute you make up your mind to make up your own mind, there will always be people who attack you. I wonder if Andrew Wilson and bradley Roberts would be singing different tunes if these men were with their political parties?
Attacking people for making up their own minds is just intelligent ignorance.
It is very interesting that they talk about respecting the office of the prime minister. In 2012 Prime Minister did a walk about in the ghetto area in Grand Bahama, and the PLP had all their minions there disrespecting the prime minister and shouting in his face. I never heard them once say anything about respecting the office of the prime minister. Yet, now that the shoe is on the other foot, the cries about respecting the office. My parents always said, when you spit in the wind, it comes right back in your face. What goes around does come back around. However, their baloney about respecting the office is just that, as Izmirlian never did that. He just had the testicles to speak up. That is sad in our country. You speak up and it is called disrespect. Go figure.
When I went to school, a passing grade was a C, and even then you did not want that. I am appalled that the Minister of Education gets up and is applauding the results, celebrating that they got the most passes ever in the A - D range. Did I miss something? Last time I checked a D is a failing grade. Is our Minister of Education applauding failure and trying to dress it up as passing.
Well said. You are exactly on point. I wish this union leader would read your comments so he can begin to think in an entrepreneurial manner and not a bottom feeder manner.
