First all, NIB i already increased every two years. That is no new news.
Maybe the Tribune could do a series of article on ho the government waste the money of NIB by taking from it to build these buildings that never give a return, and challenge the government to fix raiding NIB funds first. Otherwise, nothing will change no matter how many rate increases there are.
Come on Fifth Estate, challenge the government with the pen.
What is so tragic with this is that the government is requiring of companies what it will not do itself. How many years does it the the government auditor to audit government?
This financial secretary needs to be sent packing. He is a total waste who is destroying this country.

In all the hoopla, this is a very telling statement that many will ignore.
How is it that tourism numbers be shouted as up, but yet the wealth in the spending is not getting to the average Bahamian?
Some people before they write letters need to really do objective analysis.
What legacy has Davis or is he leaving. Flying all over the globe making speeches is not a legacy, especially when you have not implemented one of the things in your speech in your own country.
@Dawes said it best. What has he done to even begin to make a change in climate change at home? nothing.
Representing Cat Island shows the legacy of Davis. nothing done!
The US VP did not come to meet with Davis, she came to meet with the Caricom leaders. And the only reason it happen in The Bahamas was Davis is chair of Caricom at this time. If another Caricom leader was chair, the meeting would have happened in that country.
It is ludicrous to think that Davis traveling all over the world, caused the US VP to come here. That is seriously flawed deduction and reasoning.
