The last thing that Freeport needs is the government having more say. Show me what development the government has done outside of New Providence to significantly improve any Family Island? The government can't even improve East End and West End in Grand Bahama. That right there tells you what Freeport will become if the government gets more say.

When will governments learn their role is not to run business but to create a proper business environment or businesses to thrive without being taxed to death?

This statement right here by the head of BUT and an educator is a great example of why our education system is in trouble.

Imagine a child writing as essay like this that say the parent attacked the teacher and then in the next sentence says the parent allegedly attacked the teacher.

Just plain unbelievable a person who suppose to be leading a teachers union speaks like that.

Amazing how the people who talk about Moxey doing an excellent job don't list one thing she has done.

But the former VP of the Port can't do anything as she was a part of creating the problem.

The government cannot take care of west end and east end and yet they want to go after the port in Freeport? Well if that happen then freeport dead just like every other family island the government cannot take care of.

Could these people who keep talking about a liveable wage please explain what they mean by it when they talk and stop just throwing out words? Are they expecting one person to earn 2625 a month to have a liveable wage? Or is that combine between persons in the house? Or do they expect to raise minimum wage to the so called liveable wage?

Just sick of people talking smack and not explaining what they mean. Especially people like these union leaders who don't run a business but only want to take from people who invest to operate a business.
