This guy gets up and acts like he is doing Bahamians a favor. This is what his job is. You don't get credit for your job, you get it for going above and beyond.
Why don't he challenge the status quo and say that every permit given must have a Bahamian understudy and that the permit will only be for 5 years maximum and not renewed as a Bahamian will take over the position after that. Then you talk about making a difference in work conditions for Bahamians.
> “So these food kitchens will assist > farmers who have produce that is > rotten or produce that cannot be sold > to the packing house and we understand > the need to add value to our product > here.”
Where do you begin with a statement like this? Is this what we think of people? Give them what is rotten or should not even be sold to the public?
By the way, what is the purpose of these food kitchens? What are they all about. I'm tired of these Cabinet ministers comments being printed without them being challenged to produce facts about what they are spewing.
Why give space in a newspaper to someone who clearly does not know what she is talking about with her predictions? She didn't know it then and still not now.
So the PM makes a speech on how climate change is affecting the Bahamas and nations should stop their polluting. Yet, they have a bill to sell to these very nations that are polluting credits so they could pollute more, rather than pushing them to cut their pollution.
WOW.
Talk about a government speaking out of two sides of its mouth.
The OPM press briefings have now become the new clown show in this country. People spew nonsense and have no facts to back it up and the media just presents the garbage they spew.
If Rodney has such a vast platform to speak to people, then tell me what difference it has made?
NONE, It's just a clown who was singing for his supper, and now he has been rewarded.
We need to call things what they are. Will we continue to let politicians make fools of us, rewarding do nothing people with cushy payoffs at the expense of the public?
What is his qualification? He lives in the community? Hell, I live in my community, so hire me to if that is what the qualifications for a cushy do nothing job is.
I guess the next move will be hiring people who live near the airport to be pilots for Bahamasair, or who live near BPL plants to fix BPL, or who live near the hospital to fix PMH.
