This is pure intimidation plan and simple. Fred Mitchell should arrested by the police for seeking to incite violence.
A man just wrote a song about Christie and got arrested. Mitchell calling out people to come bark at a sitting Parliamentarian, whether you like him or not, it plainly wrong. But that is what happens when you have gutter politicians in positions of authority.
No NGO operated free of charge. And any person who thinks that needs to go and do research on the NGO world. Davis either is sprouting his ignorance or is intentionally trying to create mischief. Then again, it could be both.
But for a man who is a lawyer and surely was engaged in setting up NGOs, he knows better.
I don't think Proguing is bragging about the brain drain. I think, and rightly so, he is pointing out that the brain dead and outdated thinking as espoused by Hanna-Martin and many others like her, is what is creating the brain drain in our country.

Ever read two contradictory statements in a speech?
On one hand, she is distancing the government from the decision and saying the board is autonomous (which we know is really not so), and on the other hand saying a Bahamaian will be in the position shortly. Well if the board autonomous, how can she know who will be in the position next?
It is contradictory statements like these that journalists need to put a mic in front of these no vision parliamentarians and challenge them on.
You do know that in Parliament, like it or not, every member has the right to speak? No party can take away the right of an elected member to speak in Parliament.
But be patient, 5 years from now this will be Davis.

This is much ado about nothing. Davis is very ignorant if he believes NGO means volunteer. Every NGO needs funds to operate, and 9% is extremely low for an NGO operation.
Davis really believes the public he speaks to is ignorant and stupid. But I agree with Minnis on this. If something was corrupt or illegal, then take the people to court and charge them. But all this he is doing clearly shows there is nothing untoward or illegal.
I am tired of these lame, no idea politicians. We need NEW Days (not a New Day and a Day is only 24 hours) with NEW people and NEW Leaders with a REAL Vision and PLAN.
Why did she not do anything to address the issues when she was VP of the Port? Then there would be no issues to share the concerns as the issues would have been taken care of. Just another one who benefitted from the port but now blowing hot air on the outside.

Exactly.
