Just as they were wrong for hiding the rapes, the Force was so wrong to have had these men in custody for the rapes, released them from custody with no charges, but didn't say a word to the public so the public could know they were not the guys - once again more concerned about their (the Force's) image than about doing what is right as a law enforcement body. Well guys, since it's image you are so concerned about, you need a reality check, because when you posted the bulletins then announced the following day that the men had turned themselves in, pretty much NO ONE believed that the guys were the real culprits, which means most people automatically felt the Force was lying to the country. That certainly does not bode well for the RBPF.
He is going to the caricom heads of government meeting not to represent the bahamas, but to represent the plp??? No commentary is even necessary for this kind of statement. This crew is sickening and an embarrassment.
minister of state michael halkitus just said last week the govt will carry out the compensation - "According to Minister of State for Finance Michael Halkitis, the government intends to begin compensating business owners adversely affected by the project within the next two weeks, continuing the initiative started by the former government." - Nassau Guardian, June 28, 2012
Now Brave Davis is saying something completely different. Wow.
So instead of revealing too much info, you'll just release none at all - and if more women happen to become victims, sucks to be them right? Absolute disgrace.

*He said: "Four the last five weeks, we in the Ministry of Grand Bahama have interviewed in excess of 200 potential applicants on Grand Bahama for some 30 to 40 jobs - that is how bad it is here....*
Well Minister, since you recognise how "bad it is here" in Grand Bahama, why as the Minister for Grand Bahama and the representative for Pineridge, have you not uttered a single word about the over 40 Grand Bahamians employed through Urban Renewal who your government has decided to make jobless effective this week? Given the size of the workforce in Grand Bahama, adding over 40 people to the unemployment line is no small number. Grand Bahama has the highest per-island rate of unemployment in the country, yet as Minister for that island, you have said nothing, and obviously made no representation at the Cabinet level for these Grand Bahama residents to remain employed - as this is something that is completely within your government's power to do.
Once again I say, the hypocrisy on this matter is shameless.
The Prime Minister of The Bahamas is telling foreigners they need to hire more Bahamians, when the Bahamas Government which he leads is putting scores of Bahamians on the unemployment line. The hypocrisy is scandalous.
