I'd say more than any of the higher costs, it's the government's arbitrary insertion into private business that should scare anyone from moving or starting a business here.
The laws are not set, and they can be adjusted, manipulated, or simply ignored by the government and they have shown a will and a desire to do that time and time again.
The uncertainty of when the government will decide to mess with you and your business is not worth all of the tax breaks in the world.
Were these dentists being paid? Were they taking money from Bahamian dentists by working on patients who do not have the money to get dental work otherwise? So petty, so simple minded.
Why is it that all of our so called leaders think that criticism is an unforgivable act? Are they so thin skinned that they have to go home and cry every time someone disagrees or insults them. Each and everyone of them is as childish as possible when confronted in any way.
It's amusing that the reason Fred Smith has been so successful in these cases is due to the willful disregard for the law by the Immigration Department and the government.
After wasting hundred of thousands of dollars on repairs that were never done, and then defending themselves, these goofs at Urban Renewal finally get around to fixing something? I almost can't believe it. We'll have to see what $10,000 actually fixes for this veterans house. $1,000 in repairs, $9,000 to friends and lovers.

A free clinic for those who can't afford to get care is shut down because of pettiness. So typical of a response.
