Instead of a foreign water company let’s get a Bahamian company similar to the Cable Bahamas privatization - zero government onnership.

In fact while we are at it let’s get 2 private Bahamian companies to compete with each other on each island.

Now we have the worst of both world with foreigners selling water to the government who then on sells it to Bahamians at a loss.

No its not. WSC has the Bahamas government guaranteeing all the jobs and an endless supply of money from high interest hard currency loans from European (Credit Suisse) and Supra National Banks (eg. IMF, World Bank, IBD etc).

Once the Bahamas is fully indebted the non transparent global banking system in partnership with the Bahamian government (FNM and PLP) the Bahamas will be fully crippled and dependent on them.

The fix will be in. They will be richer and we will be much much poorer.

To avoid hard currency depletion (hurricane season starts in 4 months) we should start rationing the US dollar reserves now.

Anyone doing any type of contingency planning can see this train wreck.

I have an idea. Why not let Consolidated Water sell directly to WSC customers so it operates like any other utility company in a developed country? Cut out the WSC middleman. Why do we always have to operate like a third world banana republic where the government pontificates every morning to its ppl.

Take WSC out of the middle and save the Bahamas hundreds of millions of dollars over decades of mismanagement.

In this way I don't have to wake up every morning and listen to how Bannister is going to save us and bring us into the 21st Century after having failed to do so for the last half a century.

Tribanon, look at it from the perspective of the wealthy Fusion investors. Why take $506,000 to pay BPL when under Emergency Powers you still can't open your business to generate further revenue to pay the ever increasing electricity bill. In essence you are taking good money and investing it into a bad business.

Wealthy investors have numerous opportunities to make money with much less headaches that dealing with the non communative Bahamain government.

If Fusion were allowed to open, hundreds of Bahamian would be put back to work and it will make a dent on the 100,000 Bahamian who are starving unless they get handouts from the FNM.

Maybe this is what the FNM wants. A country completely dependent on their handouts and every word they say.

The Executive Branch of the Bahamian government is all powerful.

The Official Opposition can't get its hand on the financial statements for the government to account on how billions of borrowed funds were spent, the Executive forced Fusion to close and not reopen, therefore Fusion has no revenue to pay their bills, BPL which is controlled by the Executive Branch turns off the electricity to Fusion and BPL through the numerous power cuts last year has destroyed a large amount of Fusion's electrical infrastructure with no reimbursement. If Fusion can't start their emergency back up generators the multi million dollar investment will become infested with mold like Our Lucayan in Freeport and become a virtual write off.

To those businesses that have survived the forced closures its important to watch this play out. Some businesses may say, "ohh, this could never happen to me, my business is profitable" but it could happen to anybody under the control of the Executive Branch under the Emergency Powers.

The FNM is all powerful. There is zero dialogue with anyone (the press, the businesses, the citizens, even their own MPs).

Each 5 year government term represents at least 8% of the average life span of a human being. Is this the way we want to be governed. Are we overjoyed with the way our government is operating and want to put them back for another 5 years because the alternative is perceived to be worse.

Why couldn't we get the Pfizer, Morderna or JnJ vaccines from the United States? These vaccines have no clouds or questions and are +94% effective.

Why do we have to deal with these questionable multilateral organizations like the WHO and the IMF. Can you believe the WHO just got into China to investigate the origins of the virus. And these are the same ppl we are relying on?

We have the most biotechnologically advanced country at our door steps but yet we run to Europe. I wonder why? Europe is constantly blacklisting us through the FATF...and now they want to save us....what a joke.

The Europeans and Canadian are destroying our tourism economy by stopping all direct airlift from their Countries. The Canadian banks are dividending out tens of millions of dollars in hard currency with their inferior banking systems.

The Americans are working with us by keeping the airlift and tourism going but we never give them any big business.
