I gave up health insurance 15 years ago. I quit going to a certain doctor because she told me : you are working and ought to have health insurance. Then she slapped me with a huge bill, won't fool me twice. Little did she know my premium would be 60% of my earnings, not even a greedy bank would do that.

All risk property insurance is robbery.

Do these jackasses realize people cannot afford it?

Anyways, if they talk about that again, I will get my "keep ya corned beef" shirt out of storage and get on the road.

It is a good thing that doctors are not the majority in this committee.

Doctors are too eager to lockdown people.

Mental distress caused by lockdowns is a communicable disease that causes suicide, rapes, physical and mental abuse.

Doctirs just want to lockdown.

It was not until I was hit that I realised that people get rid of 50 plus employees where they can. And then I could count the acquaintances of mine that were affected in this manner.

Covid was the perfect opportunity to clean out. The attitude is that the 50plus are not computer literate and ought to be replaced. No evaluations are done, so incompetent middle managers use that to get rid of those who are more competent than they are. Often these managers are older themselves and still hit 'reply to all'.

i did managed to find a job post-covid despite the age. Someone even asked, wait, did you know the people who offered you the job? And I said no. They were trying to imply that to find a job after 50 you need to call in favors.

But yep. There is sex discrimination too. Look at the classified ads: A male wanted for this, a female wanted for that.

The workforce on Education is large and too difficult to manage.
Covid presented an opportunity to carry out only core subjects examinations, math and english, and teachers of other subjects could have been deployed to create online material and integrate their subjects into these core disciplines.

Then they might see results.

Another point is the wastage of time during school hours.

Many schools now offer 35-40 minutes periods down from 50 minutes and require too many tests. This cuts down on lesson times.

Then you have to fight the culture that says students must learn all during school hours, when the curriculum demands additional hours of study at home.

I feel sorry for teachers. The administrators blame them for all and fire them for results or for not doling out passing grades.
