I always though you were younger than me , naughty. So you must be older. But I cannot recall it was ever any better. From the days of batelco, no one answer the phone at the phone company. they also take three months to answer emails. then you have to drag yourself to their office an bring lunch, because the wait is much like that of a government clinic.
the yellow pages were ruined long before that, when thry put in the hands of a very very lazy bahamian with many letters behind her name. she got a golden parachute eventually.
I went to BTC first, hoping to keep my current cell number.
The sales person was not interest, their stock was low, and walked away several times from me and I had to keep calling her.
As I gave up, another employee, shouted from the back:"Thank you for coming, hope to see you soon." I replied : You all are not interested in selling anything.
I went to ALIV, their phone was only about 25 dollars more than the equivalent at BTC, Since the sales person was busy, I was asked to take a seat and, while completing her task, she reassured me several times, "I'll be right with you". I bought the phone,

Get a styrofoam cooler and prepare some ice bags, put the insulin in a jar and leave it there. Or you can get some blue ice packs.
people go camping for days preserving their insulin in a mini cooler and also travel in 12-13 hour flights with their little cooler.
I am sure the professionals in this area can give people advice.
i remember the great flood of june 1997. i was headed downtown on a bus to make payments at the then bank of the bahamas acrrosss from the BCHilton, it started to rain and, by the time we came down cumberland street, the corner was flooded, I stayed in the bus, and recall people wading in the water in front of stop-n-shop.
