> “And keep trying to say to people there’s a law which says that if you have an open yard the dog has to be tethered. Nobody seems to recognize what nuance this is.”

Then the animal lovers see the thetered dog and denounce you for being cruel.

I think this is late. The dogs already interbred with potcakes.

Years ago, a german man's dogs used to attack bikers and passerbys. One day the dog attacked me while he was in the yard and he made fun of me when I complained. In Germany, he would not dare.
A few days later, the dog lay dead bleeding from the head by his driveway and I saw it as I walked by.
He then built a fence,

My neighbour encouraged me to join him in getting the assistance, but I managed without it.

The products were rejects and substandard. Canned fish without labels and cereals without milk. The delivery companies were paid more to deliver a bag than the items were worth.

I have noticed that one restaurant which received half million dollars for delivery has been "temporarily closed' for quite a while now.

She did not say that. The 193 million is owed by all companies who filed, including the couriers.

But there are companies which never filed.

I queried a bill I was given. I will not pay any vat without a TIN number.

Ok. go to the parking lot of the high end supermarket out west and stand by the door.
You would think you are Southeast Asia.

However, if they were issued work permits, why were they taken into custody? They apply for jobs from their home country, but it is the employer who signs on their behalf and thus lies to the immigration department.

The immigration department also should be keeping the tally of the ratio of foreigners to Bahamians.

I know someone living in 3 bedroom house that has 4 housekeepers and 3 handyment. But, I would not report to immigration because the employer has political connections.

You seem oblivious to the point that they are defrauding both the govt and the public.
The customers paid the vat and the duty, and should I need to ship the product out for repairs, it might be said that the duties were not paid.
At the end of the day, you are the importer, that is why they require you email them the invoice..

They camped out outside Carl's Jr. too. And Pizza pizza, and Rollo Pollo before that.

We shall see.

The average man makes his own pancake at home, that is why sometimes the pancake mix is in short supply at the food store.

I wonder if they included crepes in their menu.

Well, they drove away many of their original customer base by requiring a monthtly subscription, which could only be justifie if one were to order mltiple packages per month. They also added a fee to repackage your orders, added expense with disregard to the environment.

That comes for the lack of understanding of the local market.

I once heard someone say that a Bahamian woman should have her kids before getting married to a foreigner, then marry the foreigner.

However, even under the existence of such laws, applications have been known to languish for years before being approved or rejected, inconveniencing and discriminationg against many people who have always lived in the Bahamas and who were born to a Bahamian mother married to a foreigner or an Unmarried Bahamian father.
