An audience?
I thought only the pope or the queen gave audiences.
Sadly, no answer is also an answer.
I am sure some money was spent in the new system to priduce plates and they have to recoup some of their moneys for a couple of years before they consider a new system, so this cow left the barn.
As for the inspection, i heard they would contract gas stations or garages to do the inspections and send people down to govt.
many years ago, two africans were arrested and convicted of credit card fraud.
they had been buying luxury goods on bay st. and paying for the hotel with false cards.
they told the magistrate they came to the bahamas because they heard people here are stupid.
think about it: the government has successfully caused the private sector to collect taxes for them, and continues to charge all manners of fees on top of it. We are being double dipped, but we happy.
Every other day there is a newspaper headline about additional taxes-- inocme, health, garbage, etc...
The shysters out there thought: We can get this government to front for us and make us rich.
The japanese will inspect cars and Merlin the Magi above will open a savings account with a head tax .
1) the life insurance is not mandatory. that is just to safeguard the home for your family in case of death.
2) your property could be destroyed even if you do not die, that is why they require the all risk insurance. you can actually negotiate with the bank to insure just to cover your balance on the mortgage.
3) if you do not have a mortgage, just insure for fire and other risks to safeguard yopur investment.

never work anywhere where the president calls the manager mommy.
mommy will always win, so you love it or leave it.
in the distant past i worked for a similar company. Often the company was not successful in obtaining contracts and bids once it was discovered that mommy was involved. electrical contractors and landscapers would turn down work because of mommy. i heard that from the potential clients and service providers myself. I did not dare tell the president, he never knew that people hated mommy.

Are you going to tell them to go to the fish fry?

well if you get caught once, stop buying product unless you see a best buy date.
a best buy date is not an expiry date.
i only buy from the major foodstores and they sell off their meat before the expiry date, that is when i stock up.
six years? please, if you see that call the manager and have it removed.
if i see expired things i call the manager and ask that they remove it.
