last year a non customer went to cash a check and they called so we authorised the cheque, the teller placed a hold in the amount of said cheque and deducted the cheque from the account--ie we paid twice, and when other cheques hit, they charged us overdraft.

it was along fight, but they gave the overdraft fee back.
