You seem oblivious to the point that they are defrauding both the govt and the public.
The customers paid the vat and the duty, and should I need to ship the product out for repairs, it might be said that the duties were not paid.
At the end of the day, you are the importer, that is why they require you email them the invoice..

They camped out outside Carl's Jr. too. And Pizza pizza, and Rollo Pollo before that.

We shall see.

The average man makes his own pancake at home, that is why sometimes the pancake mix is in short supply at the food store.

I wonder if they included crepes in their menu.

Well, they drove away many of their original customer base by requiring a monthtly subscription, which could only be justifie if one were to order mltiple packages per month. They also added a fee to repackage your orders, added expense with disregard to the environment.

That comes for the lack of understanding of the local market.

I once heard someone say that a Bahamian woman should have her kids before getting married to a foreigner, then marry the foreigner.

However, even under the existence of such laws, applications have been known to languish for years before being approved or rejected, inconveniencing and discriminationg against many people who have always lived in the Bahamas and who were born to a Bahamian mother married to a foreigner or an Unmarried Bahamian father.

You need to listen to more talkshows, as they know more about the constitution.

Not "Either parent". If the mother is Bahamian and married to a non Bahamian, the kids are not automatically Bahamian, regardless of where they are born.

Another problem too is the accountants, they sign the papers saying these businesses are making less money than they really are. While banks sometimes suspend accountants who do so, I wonder if the GOVT does the same.

However, if you are given months warning, the cars and boats will disappear.

But there is the VAT return too, they can fine for late VAT payment, so , if you have to remitted the VAT, the panalty could be swift.

And, who accepted documentation for a business with revenue one dollar a year. It is ridiculous.

I patronize a take out restaurant, where the payroll would be at least 1000 a week for the employees alone. The same business owner operates 2 other businesses in the same shopping center .
The restaurant does not charge VAT.

the solar thing is false economy. they are charging them the same rate as BPL, plus the repayment for equipment.

Once I inquired about some solar panels to run ONE hoe freezer and refrigerator in case of power outage. The thing was more than 20,000 and they insisted in running my whole house. My light bill is about 100 per month. 20,000 is 17 years worth of light bills.
