in the 20 years i have tried, no one answers the phone at BEC. i went there once and they told me the lady who answered was on maternity leave. by now, that child should be graduating college, but when i called this morning no one answered.
It was just a few weeks ago when a retiree wrote a letter to the tribune editor stating that his monthly insurance premium was 1,100 per month. this would wipe out the monthly pension of most bahamians fortunate enough to have a pension. I would say this is unacceptable, inappropriate and disrespectful.
the apparent ad hominem attack 'foreign consultant', which would make headlines coming from other sources, does not work in this case, who hired this foreign consultant?. mind you, when a bahamian from the minister of health addressed the issue, the BIA was just as sanguine, but too bad he could not be called 'foreign'.
nope F is no longer a fail. there are meanings attached to grades F and G. Below that the grade is unclassified. And it is not a US thing, this was invented by the English who now realise the folly and will discontinue the easy GCSE exam--including religion-- because it is too watered down. tougher exams will be applied in english and math. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article…

you have to get creative. i get free used hanging folders from my bank, so are slightly dmaged but i fix them.
now, ledger and receipt books are 45% duty, but school excercise books only 10%.
so, i buy the school exercise books for alittle more than a dollar, line up my own columns, and sir milo keeps staring at me from my desk.
