Landlords should invoke the clauses on their lease to give notice at the appropriate deadline for the cancelation and signing of a new lease to accomodate VAT. All they have to do is figure out how any penalties they pay compare to the cost of "eating vat". Landlords will likely incur losses in the process. the tenants will also be losing, remember, they will be paying increased rent due to VAT. It is a lose-lose situation.
vat inclusive pricing: the advertised price on the shelf is vat inclusive. The receipt will say: Amount due $xxxx, vat: $yyy. The customer pays XXXX, of which YYY is vat.

yep, i am about to drop my btc phones. i have cable lines in 2 locations. given my recurring troubles with the btc hardware, i will get a third cable phone and drop btc altogether.

In both stores, the store managers were kind enough to show me a computerised spreadsheet explaning how the prices are arrived at, the parameters are set by computer programms in major retailers.
being an avid amazon shopper, i often find the items cheaper locally.
it worries me that thre has been talk that the govt would shyt down amazon if they do not register to pay vat.
they explained eggs because eggs are "price controlled", they cannot markup beyond a certain amount. this will minize the chance of people sending the govt inspectors there.
they increased the duty on eggs just after rainbow farms closed down, too little too late.

I have already a stash of deodorant, soap, detergent, coffee, plenty coffee, rice, flour and sugar.
I don't want to stash meat, because of bec now, but I just realized I should stash some tuna and other canned meats.
I also replaced some of my aging appliances and reshingled the roof.
