The next is corn , canola and vegetable oil. He is giving 10 % discount. Next batch will cost 30 per gallon, up from 20. I got some OK brand flour at 3.49 to 3.79 for 5lbs. It was restocked at 5.35.
I also do not forgive the grocers for telling the govt that poor folks do not buy whole chicken, so the duty was only reduced on the poverty chicken parts, i.e., wings and leg quarters.
We do buy whole chickens, but we get the butchers to cut it up to make curry.
On the otther hand, they dropped the duty on almond flour, which costs twelve dollars a pound. Makes nio damn difference if there is duty because I will not pay 12 dollars for a pound of flour.
So, the finicky and rich vegans get duty free asparagus and keto muffins, and i have to make curry with chicken wings and broken rice.
BTW, the chicken feet are selling for 4 dollars a pound. Chicken feet , the utimate poverty food.
I buy some things off brand, if it does not make any difference.
cheap evaporated milk and island condensed milk, I do not buy because they reconstitute powedered milk with yucky vegetable oil and it separates.
So i look at the fine print, and choose the milk product.
Powdered detergent and bleach too, no need to buy brand name.
But all vegetable oils is bad, why buy brand name? I have yet to see off brand corn oil, otherwise i would buy it. truth be told, i even suspect that there is no difference between soy oil, corn oil or even olive oil.
I buy different rice also, but test to see if it is plastic.
But the point is that the increse in price is across the board, so , even if i buy a cheaper product, my bill still going up.

LOL. That a bahamian thang.
I was at the receiving end of a similar instruction at one point. While being victimized.
The reason HR says that is because they want to reserve the right to do the same to those leftover.
If the colleagues had spoken to me, I wouldhave told them: Watch out, you are next. But they took it to heart and would not even say good day.
Yep, they were next.

These annual uniforms are a racket.
In my time, the dressmaker made uniforms to last 3 years. How?
With sufficient fabric in the seams to let out as we grew. We are talking like 2 inch side seams and 4 inch hems.
