Calling ALL Bahamians: “The world class part of Exuma is not the buildings and the resorts and the health clubs, it’s the environment. Ask anybody who comes here”
Leave the Exuma chain alone or there will be nothing special about it once it’s over developed. Enough is enough.
There are wonderful larger islands such as Great Exuma or grand Bahama where things need to happen.
The government needs to just swallow their pride, admit they made a mistake, and back step on all these additional taxes/ fees for Bahamians - seriously given the number of registrants, calculate how much do you truly expect to collect versus how many entrepreneurs do you think will now not try to start their own thing on the water to service the many visitors and provide employment.
Comprehensive insurance ? How about just liability coverage for commercial ventures.
Also pleasure craft owners shouldn’t be burdened to enjoy their own waters while other jurisdictions charge very minimally to register a boat.
Just leave the undeveloped remains of the western end of paradise island as a national park. No thought will be given to keeping it beautiful or uniquely Bahamian - just another mega mess to look at where the proceeds go abroad. Think about it.
Hmm- doesn’t the science clearly indicated vaccines only help prevent severe outcomes and do nothing to stop the spread... offer to protect the vulnerable, be safe, and get on with life.
Hmmm seems like a good thing to have populist driven acts:
populist /ˈpɒpjʊlɪst/ Learn to pronounce noun a person, especially a politician, who strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups.
what absolute bllsht that anyone wanting to go to a restaurant must be vaccinated ! with all due respect Mr AG and Mr pm - follow the science and cut the crap! change this! so boosters will be required also right!?
“....give it to them directly.” Mr Halkitis said targeting such persons with social assistance benefits, via the reinstated Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme, will be a more effective and efficient means of doing this than the breadbasket and medicine zero ratings”
Absolute BS. Was removing VAt from health insurance even considered?! If not why not?!.
