There are two options:

1. Mass testing, isolate all positives and everyone they've had contact with. This is the most effective strategy with the least amount of drawbacks. But it is expensive and we still don't have the tests necessary.

2. Lockdowns until the surge eases, open up, when it surges again lockdown.

There are no other options...

The world did exactly this in 1918 and they beat it ultimately.

That little spry and much of Nassau still without power??? I cannot imagine how bad it would be if Nassau gets hit by a major storm. I hope and pray the powers that be are working on getting Nassau ready for a major storm. If Nassau goes so does the country. Treat this as a national emergency and get Nassau ready... I cannot believe Nassau's power is not yet fully restored. Our power in Freeport came back on even before the storm left. Nassau is obviously nowhere near ready to handle an actual storm, if that little spry is causing this much issues a real storm would be armmagedon on that rock. You Nassau folk, if ya'll ever see a CAT 3 or higher headed your way ya'll better get off that rock before it hits. Can you imagine the chaos and crime post storm? It'd be like Mad Max on that rock...
