We should not allow travel from or to the USA. But now that we do everyone that comes from there should quarantine for a week at least. Two would be better.
Good. The less Americans the better. Let them all stay in their own country. They're ignoring the pandemic and its surging out of control in their country and we want them to come? That's just dumb....
He also says they're making good progress on a vaccine. I don't think he meant it'll be as prevalent as it is today. Like polio and the bubonic plague, there's still a small amount of cases but no epidemic. We opened our borders to the USA, that could have waited, no need for that right now. We could have used our heads and open only to countries that are taking this thing seriously. We did not have to allow Americans in yet.....
Opening our borders has not helped our economy. And it's doubtful we'll see any significant amounts of visitors during this pandemic. At some point we're going to have to face that reality open or closed....
Cruise lines aren't sailing, hotels aren't opening, Florida is now the epicenter of the virus and we don't have near the tests needed to manage another wave.
And of course, no economical benefit to our borders being opened.
Close our borders now please...
No benefit, no reason to risk a surge. Especially a surge of that mutated, way more contagious new strain....
