I had two Americans brought into my office this morning, temporary workers here for a month. They arrived yesterday, no masks just t-shirts wrapped around their heads. I got up and walked out.
This is just dumb. They are not tourists they should be made to quarantine for 2 weeks just like Bahamians are required to....
If we surge in the next two or three weeks (which is very likely) I'll be ok, my job will be waiting. If not I need a new job....
PM Minnis and his cabinet will be responsible for any covid related death from this point on....
I never could understand how anyone could have thought Minnis was ready for PM. The man failed miserably as opposition leader, he showed us for 5 years that he was incapable of leading. This country elected him with their eyes wide open
Who cares if they test positive? Right now is not the time to let any company bring in foreign labor. No need for it, Bahamians can do just as good a job and Bahamians need the work...
They can't actually think tourism is going to rebound anytime soon. What is the objective in opening up to the petrie dish next door? Florida is seeing 10,000 cases a day, every state is getting hit now. Why in hell allow Americans in right now? Its like we're doing everything we can to create a worst case scenario. When the US opened everyone with a brain knew it was going to explode. Hospitals all over that country are overwhelmed. Wait. Won't be long before PMH is totally inundated. What then? No tourism, death everywhere. What then?
