Bottom line for me? They had a gun. Now they're dead. I see no problem. Young men and guns are the curse of this country. Kill more of them and who knows maybe one day Nassau will be livable again. Keep killing thugs until thugs get the message. My cousin was murdered in his bedroom one night, mistaken identity, supposedly they were supposed to be a few houses down the street. Kicked in the door and started shooting. So I'm ok with killing as many armed thugs as humanly possible until they get the message....
If I was a cop in Nassau it'd be shoot first, ask questions later. You must live on an out island and don't know about Nassau. This seems straight forward, criminals shot first and now they're dead. I have no issue with this, and I see no reason not to believe the police when they say the men shot first. Wouldn't be the first time and surely will not be the last....
Is this fantasy way of thinking a result of our exposure to the US? Why are so many here convinced the pandemic is over? Open our borders in 2 weeks? Are they friggin insane? Hilton should have waited for an economic rebound? When does this idiot think we'll rebound? In two weeks when we start importing covid 19?
People better wake up, this isn't over. Its still out there, there's still no treatment, no vaccine, no cure. This is far from over.
I don't blame them, we open our borders and the resulting surge could transform the hotel into a hospital/morgue. Better to wait it out and see what happens when borders open. No doubt if we do not get a surge they'll reopen...
I have nothing against this but is this really important now? We need a hospital, we need an airport, we need new investors. Why is the GBPA wasting money on something we actually don't need? Again? That second bridge was a complete waste of money. Why is it so hard to deal with GB's urgent needs?
If we get overwhelmed we will be in much worse trouble than a lockdown. Lockdowns may not be preferable but they do work, Nassau is proof positive. Less than 100 cases in Nassau? Lockdowns work. Period.

If I was on the jury it'd be an automatic innocent verdict for these cops... They had a gun? Innocent.

I have no problem with shoot first, ask questions later in Nassau. Nassau is a war zone, you stop to think and you're a dead man.
