The east end of GB was not affected tremendously by the spill at stat oil. The spill did not get to the east end villages. Sheesh.
Every day ships transit our waters laden with oil, every day a far greater threat than an oil rig down near Cuba. Cuba had already drilled there but using outdated methods couldn't get to the oil. This crew is using newer technology and may or may not hit. What we need a better deal for the country, we should get 30% minimum. We can clear our debt and invest in education and health care as well as create well paying jobs.
I have never voted PLP in my life but I will this election. Out of pure spite. This administration has actually added to our problems, not one single solution to ANY of them. Worst government ever. The day these guys are thrown out will be a celebration for Grand Bahama....

What puzzles me is all the issues the lines are having now that they're sailing in parts of Europe. Obviously it isn't safe and will not be safe until a vaccine is available. Who in their right mind would want to go on a cruise right now? How stupid are these people? They must all be trumpies. Dumbest people on the planet....
They're going to be drilling off the coast of Cuba. Very doubtful there's any real threat to us, maybe Andros way down south but not the rest of the Bahamas. We have a much greater threat today, every VLCC and ULCC transiting from the US southwards sails right down the middle of our country every day of every year.
They better damn well only allow sailings to their islands until a vaccine is ready. A safe non-American vaccine that has gone thru proper protocols. Not a stupid warp speed vaccine released only to help the worst president in US history get re-elected...
This is ridiculous now. Mooring buoys should have already been installed! What is government doing? They should have demanded buoys been installed the very next day. No need for surveys, just install the damned buoys. We have a couple of companies in Freeport that could have had this done already!
As for punishment. We can't punish them since they aren't breaking any laws...
Actually they need us more than we need them. Geography is our nest friend. Especially after Covid. Short cruises will be huge. Time for us to use our leverage and implement strict policies with severe punishment for cruise ops in our waters...
